biography

 

I’ve always been drawing and painting, ever since I picked up crayons as a child. Following my education in fine art I became a full-time artist. And my work has continually developed throughout this time (in colour, style and subject). Some notable milestones in my life and work are shown below:

1971 Born in Rustington, West Sussex

1990-1993 Visual Arts Degree, De Montfort University

1993-1995 MA Applied Fine Art, Kingston University

1994-1996 Worked as a blackboard artist for shops around southeast England

1996-1999 Lecturer in drawing and painting at Brunel University and Kingston College

1999-2003 Moved to Cambieure (France), a small village of 180 people, to draw and paint the surrounding landscape

2002 First solo exhibition at the Penny School Gallery, Kingston

2003 Met Natalie and Effie and moved back to England

2004 Jessamy Joan Aye-Maung born in June
